Noel Dexter Gala!
The Bronx Concert Singers are proud to present a gala concert honoring the life-time achievements of musicologist, composer and choir director, Noel Dexter. Professor Dexter is the former Director of Music at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies, and Director of the University Singers since 1977. His compositions, which include hymns, anthems, folksongs and theatre scores, are well-known throughout the English-speaking Caribbean and beyond. As an added attraction, Mrs. Beverly Dexter, the award-winning Soprano, will be our guest soloist for this event and will perform several of her husband's works for Soprano, Chorus and Piano. This is a concert not to be missed!
